For scuba diving enthusiasts, the depths of the Bay of Alassio and Laigueglia are definitely a world to be discovered.
Those who know the beach of fine golden sand and the calm sea of Alassio will not be able to believe what is hidden on the seabed beyond the red buoys, especially in the seabed near the Gallinara Island and Capo Mele.
Gallinara Island has two diving spots:
The depth of Capo Mele seabed varies between 10 and 20 metres, with vast areas covered by oceanic posidonia, where it is frequent to encounter garfish, in the autumn, and bugas.
For divers there are interesting deeper areas, up to 42 meters, with different diving points all characterized by scattered agglomerations of rocks of different heights. Here you can find moray eels, lobsters and octopuses which make the seabed similar to a lunar landscape, but very colorful thanks to the presence of numerous and colorful forms of benthic life such as sponges, sea anemones and rare white gorgonians.
The description in words is not enough to tell the beauty of these seabeds, so rich in living organisms as to leave every diving enthusiast literally speechless.
For this reason, we can advise you to contact the two Diving Centers located at the Port of Alassio, which are certainly able to satisfy the needs of divers of all levels.
