CYCLING IN THE WEST
With the arrival of spring, every day it grows in us the desire to live in the open air, to enjoy the beautiful warm days but not too much, to breathe the scent of the sea and nature.
What better way is than a bicycle for an absolutely green experience? Liguria is the perfect place for a holiday on the bike to discover unique and precious beauties.
ATTENTION: cycling in the Ponente, it is a must to have a camera to immortalize the numerous glimpses of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

1st RECOMMENDED ITINERARY:
The starting point is Alassio with its wonderful seafront that invites gentle rides with a view of the bay, to then enter the historical center among the typical focaccia shops and boutiques.
Overcoming the famous curves overhanging the port and Gallinara Island, you reach Albenga defined as “the city of a hundred towers“, full of narrow streets and picturesque views.
Third and fourth stage, next to each other, impossible to miss, there are Loano and Pietra Ligure, known both for their beaches and for their historical center.
The route ends by reaching the last two villages of this tour in Ponente Ligure: Borgio Verezzi and Finalborgo. Two splendid medieval villages, rich in ancient history and panoramic views. Both characterized by narrow streets, stone buildings and houses leaning against each other.

2nd RECOMMENDED ITINERARY:
The starting point is always Alassio, but this time, you ride on the Aurelia in the direction of France, arriving in a few minutes in Laigueglia, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, thanks to its fine golden sandy beaches and “carruggi“, narrow streets, of the historic center which host craft boutiques and typical souvenir shops.
The route continues towards Diano Marina, passing Baia del Sole, Capo Mele with its lighthouse and passing through Cervo, a true pearl of Liguria appreciated both for its architectural beauty and for the unique landscape that surrounds it: the blue and infinity of the sea contrasted with the green hills.
The final stage of this tour by bike is in fact Diano Marina, reachable trough the cycle and pedestrian paths created from the old railway. This town is characterized by hotels and Art Nouveau buildings, which make it elegant and romantic.
At this point, all that remains is to prepare our bicycles, hope for beautiful sunny days and enjoy these unique adventures, immersed in a truly special nature.
