ALBENGA IN FLOWERS
Have you ever been the protagonist of a real journey into magic? What are you waiting for? Participate at the 21st edition of “Fior d’Albenga – CIP & VIP 2024” scheduled from March 30th to May 5th to be catapulted into the world of Hogwarts!
That’s right… the express train bound for Hogwarts arrived in the center of Albenga.
But let’s take a step back.
What exactly is the “Albenga in Flowers” initiative?
This is a wonderful project, probably the most anticipated of the Ingauna spring, which involves the setting up of flowerbeds in the main streets and squares of the town. (Historic Centre, Piazza del Popolo and Viale Martiri della Libertà).
After the dinosaurs and the Little Prince, this year’s edition is ready to leave adults and children breathless, amidst flowers and magic. The inauguration will be held on Saturday 30 March from 11:00 am with the usual ribbon cutting and tour of the flowerbeds.
Dozens of collateral activities can be enjoyed during the event. From in-depth talks in Piazza San Michele on Albenga floriculture and agriculture, to the workshops for children held in magical places dedicated to nature, to conferences and presentations of agricultural-themed books and many other events with local realities which, in different forms, enhance ligurian excellence on a daily basis.
But let’s go back to Hogwarts!
This year’s surprise is the main flowerbed which is in fact dedicated to Harry Potter: after the laying of platform 9 and ¾, the locomotive and carriage of a real historic train also arrived, thanks to the collaboration with the “museum national transport” team of La Spezia and Taggia, the “Dopolavoro Ferroviario” and the “technical staff of RFI Albenga station”.
Other protagonists of children’s films and cartoons with a strong magical component will liven up the flowerbeds of the city center, accompanying you through the labyrinthine alleyways of the historic center.
Flowers, aromas and colors will tell the story of the Ingauno territory in all their declinations.
